I’m 28 years sober today. It was never about not drinking again. It was about living again. Living a life of spiritual, personal, and emotional growth. I have experienced my share of ups and downs. And I faced a lot of fears. But I found true happiness along the way. I define true happiness as loving ourselves enough to be happy with who we are. Today, I love myself unconditionally and do my best to love others unconditionally. I also try to believe that something created life and the Universe for a reason. And I feel grateful for the life I have today. After all, it was never about not drinking again. But living again.
